Dionysia Mylonaki is a designer and artist that explores the optimisation of the human as a social species through technology and the role of the popular technologies in the development of social systems.

She creates participatory experiences aiming to provoke a sort of behavioural or verbal “confession” by the side of the participants; She uses her practice as a research tool to make us reveal an aspect of the self, one we wouldn’t normally see, because of our tendency to adhere to social norms and dominant moral codes. The purpose is to stimulate dialogue between the designer and the public about our nature, social interactions and their intersection with technology.

She is currently a Lecturer in Critical & Cultural Studies at the University of Hertfordshire, Digital Media Arts and Interactive Media Design.
